During October, I read 8 books all of which were from authors new to me. One of the amazing things that book blogging has done for me is widening my horizons to new authors!
- Before I Let You In – Jenny Blackhurst ★★★★
- A Suitable Lie -Michael J. Malone ★★★★★
- Medea’s Curse – Anne Buist ★★★★
- The Bird Tribunal – Agnes Ravatn ★★★★
- Ragdoll – Daniel Cole ★★★★★
- Moondance – Diane Chandler ★★★★
- Celebrations & Confetti at Cedarwood Lodge – Rebecca Raisin ★★★★★
- Blood Wedding – Pierre Lemaitre ★★★★ (Review to follow)
Also on the blog in October I shared extracts from The Christmas Cake Café and Dark Water – both new releases from Bookouture. Also, Jon Rance joined me for a Q&A to celebrate the publication of Dan and Nat Got Married.
My favourite book of October
Whilst there were lots of great books again this month, it has got to be Daniel Cole’s Ragdoll which was amazing. It is everything that a reader wants from a crime thriller; gruesome, a high death toll, so many red-herrings and a fantastic detective in the form of DI William ‘Wolf’ Fawkes. My review can be found here.
Coming up in November
My review of Ragdoll (how many more times can I mention this book!) kicked off November. I am on some fabulous blog tours this month including Zak & Jen’s Astronomical Adventures – Tinsel Town with a Q&A with Natalie Page and a review of Darcie Boleyn’s new Christmas Novel, A Very Merry Manhattan Christmas. I’m also featuring on the blog tours for Caroline Mitchell, Morgan McCarthy, Nuala Ellwood, Kati Hiekkapelto and Antti Tuomainen…..phew that’s a lot of fantastic authors and books!
Reviews coming up in November include Blood Wedding and Ragnar Jonasson’s Blackout (which I read absolutely ages ago and realised that I’ve not shared my review!).
