I am absolutely over the moon to be kicking off this fabulous tour alongside Amy at novelgossip.com and Kate at bibliophilebookclub.com for the fantastic Sleep Tight

Close your eyes … Just pray you don’t wake up.
A killer stalks the streets of East London. All over the area, murdered young women are discovered, their bodies posed into a sickening recreation of fairytale princesses.
Detective Ruby Preston is determined to hunt down a disturbed individual who is using the women to realise their twisted fantasies. But when body parts are found at the home of her lover, Nathan Crosby, Ruby is torn between her job and her heart.
Convinced that he is being framed, Ruby must catch the killer before Nathan becomes the number one suspect. But as more victims are found, it becomes harder to prove his innocence.
Ruby is in too deep, knowing that the cruel individual is getting ever closer, looking for his next beautiful victim. But can she stop a killer hell-bent on fulfilling their horrific desires – before it’s too late? And how well does she really know the man she loves?
A terrifying, addictive serial killer thriller that will keep you on the edge of your seat, for readers of Angela Marsons, Peter James and Rachel Abbott.
I was so thrilled to be approached to read this under top-secret guidelines 🙂 I loved the first Ruby Preston book, Love You To Death therefore I couldn’t wait to get started on this one, to become immersed in another investigation and find out where Ruby and Nathan are now at.
The premise of Sleep Tight lives up to it’s title and is completely chilling! The killer selects young women who he mutilates into fairytale princesses – gruesome! Ruby becomes torn in the investigation when Nathan is noted as the chief suspect following evidence found at Nathan’s home. Obviously, given Nathan’s shady background and the business that his family is still acquainted with, not many people know Ruby’s connection to him therefore she has to be really careful in both keeping in touch with him and trying to clear his name. However Ruby is determined to do so as she is absolutely convinced that he is being framed.
This book grabs you from the start and its fast paced narrative keeps you gripped right through the very last sentence. There is always a danger that when a series starts so brilliantly, that the second one won’t have the same impact but this is no concern here!!
DS Ruby Preston is back with one hell of a bang! Mitchell has once again nailed it, a fantastic plot full of twists and turns that will keep you on the edge of your seat until the very end. Its a massive 5 stars from me!
